Recovery Is Not Just Rest

After surgery, the lymphatic system is under significant stress. Swelling, fluid retention, scar tissue formation, and compromised circulation are not just uncomfortable — they can slow healing and affect long-term results. Targeted lymphatic drainage and bodywork directly address these issues at the source.

At MNBS, pre and post-surgical care is informed by advanced training in lymphatic drainage, scar tissue therapy, and oncology massage. This is not a general wellness service. It is clinical bodywork designed specifically to support surgical recovery — safely, knowledgeably, and with your surgeon's process in mind.

Pre & Post-Surgical Care

Before Surgery

Pre-Op Assessment

90 minutes · NJ only

A comprehensive pre-surgical session designed to prepare your body before you go under. We assess your lymphatic health, address existing areas of congestion or tension, and establish a baseline so your post-op recovery can be guided with precision. Starting lymphatic work before surgery has been shown to reduce post-op swelling and support faster tissue healing.

Ideal for: anyone scheduled for surgery who wants to optimize their body's readiness and reduce recovery time.
After Surgery

Post-Op Lymphatic Recovery

90 minutes · NJ only

A focused post-surgical lymphatic drainage session that addresses swelling, fluid buildup, fibrosis prevention, and scar tissue management. Each session is adapted to your surgery type, your healing stage, and your surgeon's protocols. We work with your body's recovery process — not against it — using advanced manual lymphatic drainage technique to move fluid, reduce inflammation, and support optimal healing outcomes.

Ideal for: post-surgical clients at any stage of recovery — from the first week after surgery through long-term maintenance. Packages available for established clients.

What to Expect

01

Your First Visit

We review your surgical history, current healing stage, and any surgeon instructions before we begin. Nothing happens without context. Your safety and your surgeon's protocols come first.

02

The Session

Manual lymphatic drainage is applied with precise, light pressure along lymphatic pathways. Sessions are adapted to your comfort level and healing stage — never aggressive, always intentional.

03

After Your Session

Hydration is essential. You may notice increased urination as your body processes moved fluid — this is normal and a sign the work is happening. Rest and follow your surgeon's aftercare instructions.

04

Ongoing Recovery

Most post-surgical clients benefit from multiple sessions. Frequency depends on your surgery type and healing progress. We'll guide you on a schedule that supports your specific recovery goals.

Trained for This Work Specifically

Post-surgical lymphatic drainage requires more than a general massage license. Ms Nicky holds advanced certifications in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage, Scar Tissue Release, Oncology Massage, and Lymphomodelling® — and is the first and only Lymphomodelling® Premium Therapist in the United States. This is not general wellness work. It is specialized, credential-backed clinical care.

The lymphatic system doesn't take a break after surgery. Neither should your recovery support.
